Students will learn to communicate with others to discuss what they have read. The course will use an award-winning author to encourage a love of reading. Students will learn to connect their own experiences to a text. Homework will be to read assigned chapters before each session. Discussion questions may be provided as well. Supply List
Students will need a copy of the set of books to read. The Chronicles of Narnia Series by C.S. Lewis. This is a 7 book series. Copies may be purchased, borrowed from a local library, or downloaded on your favorite app.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I teach all subject areas for elementary age students. I have been an elementary school teacher for the last fourteen years. I have taught Third and Fourth grades. I also have experience in Kindergarten and First grades during my student teaching. I have a BS in Early Childhood Education (P-4), as well as a MS in Library Media and Informational Technology(K-12). I am currently certified in the state of Arkansas in both areas.
Learning should be an adventure! I strive to reach students using a variety of learning methods, while making lessons interesting for students. My hope is that students will want to learn more after a lesson with me.
Here is a little information about me. I'm a mother of two. I enjoy many outdoor activities, reading, writing, and playing with my pets. Make sure and ask me about some of the crazy pets I have owned!
