Description
Class Experience
Have you ever read a book and thought "This was written FOR ME!" or "How does this writer know EXACTLY how I feel." I believe that this happens to ALL of us. In this class I want us to share with each other the quotes, poems, messages (and much more) that have inspired and resonated with us. These can be quotes from books, excerpts from poems, speeches - the list goes on. There is no right or wrong answer here. Bring something that has inspired you. I will be sharing from authors and...
Students will be able to reflect on different readings, speeches, quotes that have inspired them along the way. Students will also be able to hear from their peers about authors, stories, movies that have inspired them. The objective here is to inspire and be inspired in return. I will be encouraging note-taking and reflections throughout the class as a way for them to build or continue a habit of writing things down.
Homework: Continue to read your favorite books, listen to your favorite podcasts, engage with your favorite mentors - take notes when you hear something inspiring and thought provoking from these teachers. Come share it with us! What did it make you think of it? Did it remind you of anything? Did this spark joy?
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
