1 hour per week. Students should read a book each week and will receive a graphic organizer/worksheet to fill out and use when sharing about their book. It is optional for the student to complete the book report outside of class. They will have time to complete it in class.Class Experience
US Grade 3 - 5
This is an ongoing class where students can share about the books they're reading and hear about new books from their classmates! Students will read a book of their choice each week, and share about that book with the class. They will also learn a different book report style that they will use to share about their book. If you love to read, and always looking for another great book to read, this class is for you! Students will have time to work on their book reports during class. Bring a book that you have recently read to class and a printed copy of the book report template that I post each week! We will rotate through 4 different book report styles: (July 25) Week 1: Students share about a book with the class, explaining why they love it. (August 1) Week 2: Students will share about another book, and give a plot summary of their book with the class. (July 11) Week 3: Students will share about a book, and use a persuasive format, explaining if people should/shouldn't read the book. (July 18) Week 4: Students will share about a book, and complete a character analysis on one of the characters in the book. This class then rotates through again, starting with Week 1. Each week, students share about a new book.

I will provide a book list if the students needs book ideas. I will provide worksheets each week for them to fill out and share about their books.
