Learners' goals include, but are not limited to, learning class discussion skills and higher level thinking.  Members of the class community will learn to keep notes on  character decisions and themes while reading.  Learners will practice skills in the areas of vocabulary in context, figurative language, the details of difficult and challenging weather conditions, decision making, conflicts/ resolutions, character development, character analysis and development, choice making, the realities of living with our decisions, problem solving, fighting difficult obstacles, coice, cliffhangers, back stories, hooks, flashbacks, resolutions and more.
Homework Offered
For Class #1, please read the novel to the end of chapter 23, while keeping short high-quality notes on character decisions and themes. (The PDF for this purpose will be sent to you.) For Class #2, please complete reading the novel and taking the same high quality notes.
