Students will gain and improve knowledge in literature areas such as positive discussions, respectfully sharing and building upon opinions, personification, metaphor, simile, conflicts, creation of characters, foreshadowing, cliffhangers, authors purpose, themes
I ask the learners do not read ahead so they won’t know more information for each meeting. The homework goes as follows For session 1 please read chapters 1- end of 6 For session 2,please read chapters 7 - end of novel

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
A main character chooses to go in to a river with the knowledge that he is a very poor swimmer and he does drown. It is a main part of the plot.
