Join us for a book journey, as we read the entire Amulet graphic novel series by Kazu Kibuishi, and discover what lies beyond the basement door!  We will be reading and discussing all 8 books that are out thus far from this fantastic series, and finishing up with the final installment, which comes out in February!

Each week, we will cover a different book, and discuss plot, story elements, character growth, vocabulary, and what we loved and didn’t love about the story.  Each class will include creative discussion starters about topics related to the book.  The key to this class is discussion.  Come ready to share your thoughts and ideas.

You will need to come to class each week with book assignment read and the book in-hand, prepared to discuss.  While these books can be checked out at most libraries, I also encourage you to buy used books.  I was able to get nearly the entire set on Ebay for $20.  You can also check them out digitally from the library (try Libby!) and read them on a tablet, or get them from Amazon.com or Abebooks.com.
