In this 8 week course, students will discuss and read the book Holes by Louis Sachar while learning new comprehension strategies.
Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 7
In this class, students will video chat as well as discuss in the Outschool classroom weekly. We will read 1-3 chapters together, but students will also have homework of reading on their own.We will use different graphic organizers to help students comprehend the story. Every week after our video chat, there will be a discussion question posted for learners to answer. We will interact by chatting in discussions on the Outschool site before the next video chat. This is one of my absolute favorite books! I have taught this book in the classroom as well as in private tutoring sessions. This is my second reading discussion class on Outschool.

This book does talk about a couple crimes that the two main characters were apart of, so parent discretion is advised!
