Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 6
An electric blue mouse, with unusual powers, named Isaiah and his ninety-six brothers and sisters make a dramatic escape from a mysterious laboratory. Word of Mouse by James Patterson is a lovable story of survival, determination, and the power of friendship.

Together we will enjoy this action packed story while discussing how Isaiah grows as a character, the themes that shape this story, and the meaning of the quotes that start each chapter. This book is rich in vocabulary and a true underdog story.

Students will be asked to read chapters outside the class and we will read a few together in class. Students will have the opportunity to read aloud if they choose to.
