Together we will enjoy this action packed story while discussing how Isaiah grows as a character, the themes that shape this story, and the meaning of the quotes that start each chapter. This book is rich in vocabulary and a true underdog story. Students will be asked to read chapters outside the class and we will read a few together in class. Students will have the opportunity to read aloud if they choose to. Read the following before class meets: Week 1: Chapters 1-16 independently before class and together we will read 17-19.
