  • *inspire learners as they read about people who overcame problems, faced obstacles and criticism, but persevered to succeed *create a project to demonstrate understanding of what they learned

Details: No grades. Learners are encouraged to complete the graphic organizer and the project to demonstrate their understanding.

*Learners are required to obtain and read the Where Is/Was…? series book that they choose. Books can be purchased, checked out from the library, audiobook, etc.

*Literature-based learning enriches the educational experience. A story-based approach will ignite a love for reading, sharpen language skills, boost critical thinking, and connect learning across disciplines.

*Only one historical location will be read about in each class. If your learner would like to read about more than one, they are welcome to register for the class again. I encourage them to read them all!

*Note: This is a learner-directed, asynchronous class. This means learners choose the historical location they’re going to study and work at they’re own pace to complete the coursework. There are NO live meetings.

*REFUND POLICY: Once the material has been sent to the learner, there will be NO refunds issued. If your learner changes their mind and wants to choose a different historical event, or if they want to read about more than one, they are welcome to register for the class again.
