Join us for this fun, lively book club! During this 9 week class, we will meet once a week to adventure with Tumtum and Nutmeg, an adorable and unassuming little mouse couple who find themselves in unsought adventures of all kinds! 

Tumtum and Nutmeg just want to live out their comfy lives in peace, unbothered by anything as distracting as an adventure. But the holidays are upon them, and it seems to be the time of year when Arthur and Lucy, the disheveled human children of Rose Cottage, and bumbling veteran hero General Marchmouse are most likely to get into trouble. Tumtum and Nutmeg want to make things right, but first they'll have to outwit a wicked mouse named Purple Claw, face a crazed circus ringmaster, and even save Christmas! In this second compilation of three delightful new adventures, Tumtum and Nutmeg prove that big heroes come in tiny packages. A crowd pleaser for boys and girls alike.

In this multi-day class, we will meet once weekly for nine weeks to dive deep into the second three story compilation TumTum and Nutmeg - The Rose Cottage Adventures by Emily Bearn. This is my favorite book series of all time! And that is really saying something!

During class time, full participation in class discussion is expected. There is grace for a shy student, of course, but students will be encouraged to dive into the discussion as they acclimate to the group. Each student will have a turn to share their thoughts and ideas. I will have questions and discussion prompts ready each week, should conversation lag.  After our discussion time, we will end with a game if time permits! My book clubs are typically highly engaging, highly interactive, very lively! 

Chapters will be assigned to be read ahead of time, before class. There are 41 chapters in this book, divided between three shorter stories. All of class time will be dedicated to discussing the books, character studies, guessing what happens next, and ending with fun games related to the book. Our last class will be a book party! Snacks are welcome and encouraged!
