Book Club: The Lulu Series Read Aloud + Comprehension Activities
This is a self-paced (recorded) class. NO LIVE meetings. Each week, students will listen to an illustrated chapter book read aloud and complete engaging activities that support reading comprehension skills.

How is your class structured? Each lesson will consist of a video where the teacher reads aloud the illustrated chapter book. Each video should ideally last around 20-45 minutes and will include students completing an engaging activity as we read. Students will be able to see the illustrations and words as we read. After watching the video, students will be given a variety comprehension activities about each book including book reviews, comic strip creation, code breakers and more! Students will participate during the activity throughout the video lesson and the comprehension activities that follow. Optional: Students can submit their work through photo or video. I will send feedback in 24-48 hours (Monday-Friday).

Book 1 of the Lulu Series with Activities
In this lesson, students will listen to the teacher read the chapter book while completing an engaging activity. Then students will be given 2 comprehension activities to complete. 33 mins of video lessons
Lesson 2:
Book 2 of the Lulu Series with Activities
In this lesson, students will listen to the teacher read the chapter book while completing an engaging activity. Then students will be given 2 comprehension activities to complete. 48 mins of video lessons
Lesson 3:
Book 3 of the Lulu Series with Activities Part 1
In this lesson, students will listen to the teacher read part 1 of the chapter book while completing an engaging activity. 50 mins of video lessons
Lesson 4:
Book 3 of Lulu Series with Activities Part 2
In this lesson, students will listen to the teacher read part 2 of chapter book while continuing to complete the engaging activity from part 1. Then students will be given 2 comprehension activities to complete. 20 mins of video lessons
Other Details
Supply List
Each week will have 3 activities that will be provided. Activities will need to be printed before watching the video lesson. Some activities will be completed using scissors and glue. Optional: the books listed. I will read and show pictures of these books during each lesson video so the books are only needed if students want to follow along with their own copy.
