Week of 14/10/24 - The Giraffe Week of 21/10/24 - Boy Week of 28/10/24 - Magic Finger Week of 4/11/24 - Danny, Champion of the World Week of 11/11/24 - Matilda Week of 18/11/24 - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Week of 25/11/24 - The Witches Week of 2/12/24 - The Twits Week of 9/12/24 - Fantastic Mr. Fox Week of 16/12/24 - George’s Marvellous Medicine Week of 23/12/24 - Esio Trot Week of 30/12/24 - The BFG Week of 6/1/25 - James and the Giant Peach Learners can join the class at any point. This is an ongoing course so each class stands alone. We focus on a different theme from the books each week whilst developing comprehension skills, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing. Learners can join the class no matter how much of the series they have read. Each week will include a range of teaching activities including reading out loud, videos, discussions, activity sheets, Q+A, slides and more. Parental Guidance
Please note, this is an English language class. This is not a 'read along' class. Our own materials are used to teach learners during this course. The focus of the classes is to develop language including, phonics, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, fluency and writing skills.
Supply List
Learners will need a notebook, pencil and crayons for each class. The books are required for this class. Students may use e-books, hardcopy and paperbacks, or audiobooks to read and comprehend the text.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
