Week 1Lesson 1Chapters 1-7In this lesson, students will find a video lesson, reading guide, comprehension questions and a comprehension quiz on the stated chapters. - Students will: develop critical thinking skills by completing discussion questions practice and expand their reading comprehension skills analyze a text analyze theme, plot, setting, motif, character development, and other literary devices make connections to the modern world explore the fantasy genre
I have a bachelor's degree in history and education and I have been a humanities teacher for seven years in the classroom, teaching novel studies to a variety of learners. I have also run my school's book club and love to foster a love of reading.

The book is considered suitable for students eight and older but does include the following content: Child abuse, terminal illness, animal death, bullying, kidnapping, and exile.
