Class Experience

Matilda Wormwood is the reader of books. All of the books. She is smart, VERY smart. Some would even call her gifted. Unfortunately, her parents don't see her this way. Matilda's parents think she wastes her time with books and that she should be watching more television. As you can tell, they aren't very pleasant people. But, when Matilda starts school she meets a wonderful person who will change her life forever.

Each lesson we will learn new vocabulary words, talk about character traits, and use different strategies for reading comprehension. Students will be asked to read approximately 10 pages a day outside of class and we will read one or two chapters in class together. Students will be asked periodically to read in class but this is optional.
