Class experience

Learners will read, comprehend, analyze, discuss, and respond to the novel, "Little Women," by Louisa May Alcott.
This is my favorite book. I'm a English teacher of over 10 years, and I love many books, but this one was my first love. I read it as a young teen and identified with the character, Jo. She is the writer. In my teaching experience with middle and high school English, I have never had the opportunity to teach this book. That changes now!
Please have the following materials ready for this class:
-Please get a copy of the novel, "Little Women," by Louisa May Alcott.
-The entire novel is available online for free.
-a notebook or journal
-blank or drawing paper
-colored pencils or other type of colors if you wish

In the novel, "Little Women," author Louisa May Alcott tells the story of four young sisters who grow up in Civil War era Massachusetts. The book deals with a variety of issues related to growing up, feeling a lack of money, love and marriage, and family. We will discuss these issues as they are related to the characters and plot in the novel.
