Book Club In the Tall Tall Grass

In this class we will learn ordinal numbers, rhyming, graphing, size, patterns, action verbs, visual discrimination, counting, and sorting. We will find what doesn't belong and play a board game.

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
The learner will predict what will happen in the story.
The learner will discuss vocabulary.
The learner will sort animals.
The learner will be introduced to ordinal numbers.
The learner will discuss the main idea.
The learner will discuss setting.
The learner will practice story sequencing.
The learner will discuss rhyming words in the story.
The learner will count to complete an animal scavenger hunt.
The learner will be introduced to bar graphs.
The learner will discuss the story and answer questions about the story to show comprehension.
The learner will compare sizes such as small, medium, and large.
The learner will discuss why things belong and why they don't.
The learner will complete patterns.
The learner will practice visual discrimination.
The learner will discuss and complete activities that encourage the learner to recognize action verbs.
I have been teaching 30 years in all subject areas as a licensed teacher.

1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There are worksheets that require the bottom portion to be cut off in order for the learner to glue those pieces on the top in the correct spaces. Please cut these out before class so that we can continue with class and not have to wait.
