Book Club: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Class experience
US Grade 3 - 6
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the sixth installment of a series full of wonder, magic, and adventure. In this five-week class, learners will participate in meaningful discussions and engaging activities as we read J. K. Rowling's sixth novel in the world of Harry Potter. Book clubs are an excellent way to engage reluctant readers or help enthusiastic readers dig a little deeper. Students will need their own copy of the text to complete assigned readings before attending...
Students will sharpen their literacy skills and foster their love of reading!
Homework Offered
Students will be required to read the assigned chapters before class, approximately 100-150 pages. This looks like a lot of pages, but your student will devour this book! The text moves faster than you might expect. If your child likes to read, they will not have any trouble keeping up with the reading assignments.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Grades Offered
A copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
The sixth installment in the Harry Potter series is, like the rest of the books, a hopeful story of good triumphing over evil. However, the plot does get more scary as Harry gets older and the challenges of each story become larger.
