In this series, we’ll read one book together over the course of 4 weeks, giving you time to read and dive into the story. Week 1Lesson 1Introductory Mini Lecture and DiscussionDuring the first live meeting, I will be introducing you to the author and the book, focusing on culture, history, and the geography covered in the story. You don't need to have any of 𝘚𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘈𝘮𝘢𝘻𝘰𝘯𝘴 read yet, but feel free to start it if you like.Week 2Lesson 2Discussing Chapters 1-10During the live meeting, we will discuss Chapters 1-10 using conversational Socratic method. We will also discuss the week’s exciting projectsand vocabulary!Week 3Lesson 3Discussing Chapters 11-20During the live meeting, we will discuss Chapters 11-20 using conversational Socratic method. We will also discuss the week’s exciting flag project!Week 4Lesson 4Discussing Chapters 21-31During the live meeting, we will discuss Chapters 21-31 using conversational Socratic method. We will also discuss the week’s exciting origami project!
This class is taught in English.
Literature analysis, vocabulary reinforcement, study skills, keeping to an assigned reading schedule, and social skills.
Homework Offered
The only required homework is to read the chapters assigned each week. We will do creative projects to share with each other in our "bring and brag" portion of each class.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class

I will be supplying handouts to print at home, and all crafts will use materials you likely already have on hand, such as pens, paper, glue, and scissors.
