Students will need a copy of the book Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White. The assigned chapters must be read or listened to BEFORE class. Students can use their own books, library books, ebooks, or even listen to the audio books. If listening to the audiobooks, it is highly recommended that student reads independently to develop their own reading comprehension and competency.
Be advised - This story opens with the mention of Fern’s father planning to kill the little runt pig, until Fern fights for Wilbur fiercely and changes his mind.

Also, at the end of the story, Wilbur deals with the death of his spider friend. Both topics will be discussed with empathy and consideration.
