Class Experience
Before class, students will read one book per week from the Desmond Cole: Ghost Patrol series, written by Andres Miedoso. **Please note, in order to meet copyright law, students must have their own copy of the book to participate in this class.** We will not be reading books during class. Students will read a Desmond Cole Ghost Patrol book each week before class. Desmond Cole Ghost Patrol books are excellent books for the student beginning to read chapter books! The student will increase reading fluency, reading comprehension, and their love for reading by reading each book and discussing it in class.
The student should read each book prior to attending the class that week.
Each student must have their own copy of the specified Desmond Cole Ghost Patrol book for the week chosen. Students will be given a Google Drive with the coloring sheets and bookmarks. Students will need crayons or colored pencils in order to color these.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
I do have Google Form tests that are available but NOT required. If you would like for your student to take the test for a grade, please just let me know and that will be available to you.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will need a copy of the book each week. Refer to the description above to see which book we will be reading and which week we will be reading it.
