In Book Bunch, we finish a wonderfully fun book in six weeks. We will meet once a week for 6 weeks (that's 6 times total) for 45-minutes each lesson. In this course, we will read "Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy" by Tui T. Sutherland. Each student is expected to provide their own copy of the book. We will not be reading it live during the 45-minute meetings, but on our own between lessons. Instead, we will discuss the assigned reading pages. That's when we get to dig deeper. Do you like...
This class is taught in English.
There will be assigned reading for the student to do between lessons. This is a fast-moving book, so the assignments should not be tedious.
"Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy" by Tia T. Sutherland -- you must have a copy of your own to read
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
PLEASE NOTE: "The Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy" by Tui T. Sutherland discusses the word magic and speaks of dragons and violence. It also features how a group that isn't physically alike can truly belong together. It is recommended reading for ages 8-12. The student will need to have their own copy of the book. When discussing differences, absolutely no hate or negativity will be tolerated. We are here to have fun, learn, and discuss in an inclusive and safe learning environment. A student will receive one warning and then will be dismissed from the course without a refund if the offense continues.
