Welcome Creative Explorers! Are you ready to travel through time and place?! Have you ever wondered how to be a child in the past, in a whole different country? In this class, your child will learn about the Philippines before it was colonized and find out! I strongly believe in helping children learn through their 100 languages. This means that children see the world around them in a variety of ways and it is best to cater to all of those ways as much as we can. That is through writing,...
This class is taught in English.
By the end of the class, your learner will have a deeper knowledge of the Filipino culture before any colonization. Your learner will have practiced ancient Filipino writing and have created simple pottery with clay without the use of complicated tools or techniques.
I have been teaching Tagalog as a foreign language for 3 years and English as a second language for nearly 7 years, to children from age 5 to 12 years old. As my learners study languages, I also teach them about the culture and introduce them to the food, traditions and history to help them fully immerse themselves in the language they are learning. All my lessons are created with other teachers who are in Early Childhood Education. As a Private Tutor and Behavior Therapist for nearly 7 years, I have used art making as a way to help cater to each child's learning needs and skills.
Take photos of your artwork and post it in the class review page.
