Bonjour! In this one time, interactive class, students will become engaged in learning some basic words from the French language. Students will engage in learning a way to greet each other as well as some colors and some animals. Students will practice saying their newly learned words and identify them with pictures. Students will have access to flashcards that can be printed and used during the lesson or after for further practice. Come join this fun lesson and start learning new words! Merci!
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to say hello, colors and some animals in French. Students will be taught to pronounce words and be able to identify pictures of colors and animals.Other Details

A one page handout of flashcards for new words learned in this class will be provided.

Hello! My name is Jennifer and I am very excited to be teaching with Outschool and begin meeting some incredible students! I am currently a licensed Special Education Teacher and have been for the last 14 years! I earned a Bachelors of Arts from New England College in New Hampshire in Elementary Education, Special Education and Psychology. I graduated cum laude and was the Education major of the year my senior year. Since then I have been working as a special education teacher in the foothills of Maine. I have been trained in literacy lessons which is an intensive reading intervention similar to Reading Recovery. I have worked for many years in developing specialized instructional programs for struggling students in reading, writing and math. I have a profound love for teaching and working with students who need that different way to learn a new skill! My philosophy of education is that everyone can learn, it’s just finding a strategy to make it all just click! I love engaging my students and helping them find a love for learning! Over the last 14 years in education, I have gotten married and now have three children under 5 years old! In our spare time, we love getting outside to go for walks, ride bikes and make arts and crafts! I would love the opportunity to meet you in one of my classes soon!
