There are 206 bones in the human body! In this course we will discuss how these bones work together to create or skeletal system. We will discuss: - Types of Bones. - What does a bone look like on the inside? Osteoblasts, osteoclasts, and more! - Naming our bones. - Bones in Babies: Why do babies have more bones than adults? - Broken bones: Types of fractures; How do bones heal? Bachelors of Science in Health Science Masters in Science of Prosthetics and Orthotics
50 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
Images and models of skeletons will be used in this course. We will also look at injury x-rays.
