Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! I'm Hannah, a multidisciplinary musician in Toronto, ON. I have a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies and Master of Music in Vocal Performance, both from Ithaca College, and spend my time gigging around the central NY area while teaching students of all ages and levels. I play with a variety of bands that bend the rules in exploring rock and roll, funk, r&b, folk, and jazz. I'm an all around music lover, and have experience teaching musical theater, classical, as well as jazz styles. I am passionate about bringing contemporary music making to the forefront of public school education, working with all ages on bringing authentic stylization through healthy vocal technique. I teach everything from group style lessons, private lessons, intro to percussion, music theory, history, and beginner songwriting courses. I get excited working with students who are excited to find their own unique voice (literally!) through music. I'm also an avid cat lover and Irish dance enthusiast (retired competitor) :)
