Class Experience

In this fun and upbeat class, your students will learn about the aspects of facial expressions, body language, tone of voice, and how people perceive us based on these factors. Your learner will learn how they can have a more positive outcome with modifications to the way they express themselves. They will learn ways in which they can think before they speak or how they express themselves in tone and body language. We will role play and have fun making expressions and using our voices in various ways to help encourage learning. Participation is always encouraged in a comfortable setting, helping learners develop self-confidence and speaking skills, as well as content knowledge.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!
I'm Teacher Cynthia. I have taught Pre K-3 through college level Criminal Law courses. I am a state certified teacher with a Physical Education and an ESL endorsement and also a public school Moral Focus teacher. I am a certified professional life coach with a specialization in mindfulness and behavior and trauma. I have taught online for over 4 years, and have over 15 years experience in the classroom. I was the Albion College Varsity cheer coach, as well as a cheerleader for 3 different colleges and universities. I have owned my own dance and cheer studio, where I taught and developed the routines. I also sewed all the costumes for recitals and have a thriving dance costume business.
I have a very diverse background, due to my love of learning. I have been to Law school, Nursing school and have studied for my Master's in Education. I am a professional life skills coach who also has a background in College Admissions and Guidance at Lincoln College of Technology. I have worked with at risk youth as a juvenile probation officer, fraudulent claims officer for State Farm Insurance, recreational therapist and also a SED teacher for severely emotionally disturbed children. I have studied psychology for child development and also abnormal psychology. I studied ASL in depth and have become fluent and have taught it to young learners. I have enjoyed communicating effectively with a deaf friend who also increased my fluency and understanding of deaf culture. Through my University studies and extensive professional development, I have been able to help many children recognize how to refocus and lead a better life.
It is my desire to bring my passion and love of learning to your child. As I continue to grow within this company, I will be adding on more ASL Sign Language classes, as well as Cheerleading, Dance, Science, Sewing and many, many other exciting, creative and enriching classes for young people. I look forward to making your child enthused about learning, and tapping into their creative style. I have a very positive and upbeat classroom where every child can thrive.
