Welcome (back) to Boarwarts Academy for Witches and Wizards! We will make Hot Butterscotch Brew- a favorite drink of Boarwarts students. Next up - its potions time! Join in for a potions lesson where we will make Felix colōrem. Now its nowix studies time! Nowix are nonmagical folk. They have been trying to simulate our magic for ages. They even have people called magicians or illusionists that put on “magic” shows. So, we will learn to do a nowix magic card trick. Now that you have studied up- it is time to put all you have learned to the test. Students will enter an escape room to prove their magic, logic, and critical thinking skills. (You do not have to take Boarwarts 1 to take this class. They are independent classes, but with the same theme but totally different content)

We will use deck.toys for the escape room, it required no account.
Students will also take a quiz made on quiz-maker.com to figure out what their guardian animal is. No account is required.

Texas Teaching Certificate in Music/Theater/Arts
Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from University of North Texas
Hello!
I taught art in traditional public schools for 6 years in Texas and started teaching on Outschool in 2021.
I would say my specialty here on outschool is escape rooms.
I love teaching my passions and believe in teaching the whole child. That is why I love throwing in other tidbits of knowledge while working on a project. It also means if you signed up for an escape room with me, it might be under the category of "math" but I can guarantee you will be challenged at a lot more than just math. I like to challenge students to think outside of the box and come up with unique solutions to creative problems.
I also have taught art classes through Michaels Arts and Crafts stores. My favorite moment was when a young lady told me they had a closer store to them, but they drove further to me because, with me, she "actually learned stuff".
Fun and Personal: I love to create and have fun. In my free time, I love to play both board and video games. I am a huge Disney nerd, and represent the Hufflepuff house with pride. I have a sweet seven-year-old daughter and three cats at home.
Currently my personal life is jam packed so I am currently only offering self paced classes.
