Why FLEX?

The ability to pause and rewind is like having a magic xylophone to freeze everything. Students can manage the pace of the class themselves and customize it to fit their needs.

As a working mom, I understand how hectic and busy life can get. This class is available whenever you are. Forgot to grab that ingredient at the store that is needed? Totally cool, just come back later and the class will be there waiting for you. Flexibility is a blessing for busy lives.

Flex also lets me reach learners who are outside of my normal teaching times since there are no live meetings.

***Notes about this and my other Bluey classes***
If you have already taken one or more of my other Bluey classes, be aware there is some overlap with the escape rooms. If you message me (and I can verify your learner has taken one of my Bluey classes) I will give you $5 off this one.
Learning Goals

Hello!

I taught art in traditional public schools for 6 years in Texas and started teaching on Outschool in 2021.

I would say my specialty here on outschool is escape rooms.

I love teaching my passions and believe in teaching the whole child. That is why I love throwing in other tidbits of knowledge while working on a project. It also means if you signed up for an escape room with me, it might be under the category of "math" but I can guarantee you will be challenged at a lot more than just math. I like to challenge students to think outside of the box and come up with unique solutions to creative problems.

I also have taught art classes through Michaels Arts and Crafts stores. My favorite moment was when a young lady told me they had a closer store to them, but they drove further to me because, with me, she "actually learned stuff".

Fun and Personal: I love to create and have fun. In my free time, I love to play both board and video games. I am a huge Disney nerd, and represent the Hufflepuff house with pride. I have a sweet seven-year-old daughter and three cats at home.

Currently my personal life is jam packed so I am currently only offering self paced classes.
