Class Experience
Please Note: This class requires access to the paid game Bloxburg - it costs 25 robux (around $1) This 1-2-1 class is designed to help beginners get started in Bloxburg, or to help you develop your building skills in the game. How it works: Your child will need to add me as a friend on Roblox, and this will enable them to join my private neighborhood. We will spend the class time learning the ropes of Bloxburg, and starting a house build on your own plot (meaning the build will be yours after class). I will provide the in-game currency for a simple build up to $50,000 and we will work together to create a simple but stylish home! Please note that if a more elaborate design is required, then it will take more than one session to complete. To maximise our time together in class you will need to let me know beforehand what type of house you would like. The more information (preferred style, colour palette, rooms wanted, additional budget etc) I have before class, the more detail we can add to your house. Please note that some styles will need you to own game passes, but that I can help you with a nice house even without any game passes at all. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, and I will look forward to building with you!

Parental Guidance
The website Common Sense Media rated Roblox age 13. This is largely due to the unmoderated nature of the games, and the ability to chat. This class will include gameplay in a private neighborhood, so this is a safer way to interact with the game. The participant will need to become an in-game friend with the teacher for the duration of the class
Supply List
The Bloxburg game needs to be purchased within Roblox for 25 Robux (less than $1). This is a one-time fee and must be bought before attending the class.

Hi, I'm Astrid and I am a mum of two, and a teacher based in the United Kingdom. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics, and I have a Postgraduate degree in teaching Design and Technology. I have worked in schools for over 14 years, and am excited to bring my skills to an online platform.
I love to cook (unless it's dinner - e.v.e.r.y.d.a.y!!), to craft, and my guilty pleasure is gaming! I play Brawl Stars every single day, and I love Roblox (especially Bloxburg!) and Among Us! I am a HUGE Pokémon nerd and love to play Pokémon Go. Expect to see my classes based around these things, because when you love something, it's easy to enthuse others!
I love working with young people and sharing my love of craft & design, textiles, food and gaming, in a fun, engaging and inclusive way. Through seeing the difficulties of my own neurodivergent children in mainstream education, I know first hand of the importance of inclusivity, and strive to make my own lessons both enjoyable and accessible to any learner who wishes to enrol. I like to lead by example, and "make and do" along with the learners, so I am able to cater for a variety of learning styles.
Most of my classes are ongoing, weekly sessions, but these can be also used as one-time classes.
In the aftermath of these difficult times of social distancing, my gaming classes provide a great way for young people to safely connect with their peers and have fun!
I can't wait to welcome you to my classroom!
My class policies:
Subscription (ongoing) classes are billed weekly on a Sunday and can be cancelled on the learner page at any time in advance. Please feel free to attend my ongoing classes just once, by stopping the subscription after class.
Refunds cannot be offered for missed classes, but I offer a flexible transfer policy. Transfer requests must be made 24 hours in advance, and to a different time slot of the same class. Thank you for supporting these policies, that help me maintain smaller class sizes.
