Class Experience

Are you ready to embark on a creative and collaborative journey in the world of Bloxburg? Join me in the "Bloxburg Build a Town" class, where we'll transform empty spaces into vibrant and themed towns, using my plot and in-game currency.

What to Expect:

Weekly Town-Building Sessions: Each week, we'll gather to work on our town-building project. Whether you love designing houses, shops, cafes, or parks, there's a place for everyone to contribute their unique ideas and skills.

Themed Towns: Get ready to explore different themes! From a charming winter village with cozy cottages and snowy landscapes to a bustling modern city with sleek skyscrapers, we'll tackle a variety of exciting themes together.

Collaboration and Creativity: This class is all about teamwork and unleashing your creativity. Work with fellow gamers to bring your ideas to life, learn new building techniques, and make friends who share your passion for Bloxburg.

Starting Fresh: Once each town is completed, we'll wipe the slate clean and start anew, allowing us to explore a fresh theme and build a brand-new town from scratch.

Who Can Join:

This class is perfect for Bloxburg enthusiasts! If you have no prior experience in Bloxburg, I can help you get started, as I welcome both beginners and seasoned builders. You can join at any time, as each town will be made up of lots of smaller spaces, so there always be something for newcomers to jump in on!

What You'll Need:

All you need is a Roblox account, your imagination and a desire to build something amazing in Bloxburg. I have a large plot, all of the game passes and I will provide a total budget of 1 million dollars for the whole build!

Learning Needs
I strive to create an inclusive space where all students feel welcome. As a neurodivergent teacher, I understand unique needs. If accommodations would help your learner succeed, please reach out—I’m happy to support!
Parental Guidance
The website Common Sense Media rated Roblox age 13. This is largely due to the unmoderated nature of the games, and the ability to chat. This class will include gameplay in a private neighborhood, with only the other class participants, so this is a safer way to interact with the game. The participants will need to become an in-game friend with the teacher for the duration of the class.
Supply List
A Roblox account, logged in is required.

It's useful (but not essential) to have zoom and Roblox on separate devices.

Hi, I'm Astrid and I am a mum of two, and a teacher based in the United Kingdom. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics, and I have a Postgraduate degree in teaching Design and Technology. I have worked in schools for over 14 years, and am excited to bring my skills to an online platform.

I love to cook (unless it's dinner - e.v.e.r.y.d.a.y!!), to craft, and my guilty pleasure is gaming! I play Brawl Stars every single day, and I love Roblox (especially Bloxburg!) and Among Us! I am a HUGE Pokémon nerd and love to play Pokémon Go. Expect to see my classes based around these things, because when you love something, it's easy to enthuse others!

I love working with young people and sharing my love of craft & design, textiles, food and gaming, in a fun, engaging and inclusive way. Through seeing the difficulties of my own neurodivergent children in mainstream education, I know first hand of the importance of inclusivity, and strive to make my own lessons both enjoyable and accessible to any learner who wishes to enrol. I like to lead by example, and "make and do" along with the learners, so I am able to cater for a variety of learning styles.

Most of my classes are ongoing, weekly sessions, but these can be also used as one-time classes.

In the aftermath of these difficult times of social distancing, my gaming classes provide a great way for young people to safely connect with their peers and have fun!

I can't wait to welcome you to my classroom!

My class policies:

Subscription (ongoing) classes are billed weekly on a Sunday and can be cancelled on the learner page at any time in advance. Please feel free to attend my ongoing classes just once, by stopping the subscription after class.

Refunds cannot be offered for missed classes, but I offer a flexible transfer policy. Transfer requests must be made 24 hours in advance, and to a different time slot of the same class. Thank you for supporting these policies, that help me maintain smaller class sizes.
