Class Experience

I want the students to see how far we have come and how far we still have to go with medicine in the future. By studying how we dealt with plagues in the past we can understand more about this one.
I have a masters in medical ethics and a BSC in Chinese medicine so have been interested in how medicine has progressed throughout the world for many years. I Have also been a tour guide for high school students for 16 years and am used to teaching and talking about these topucs
I will give a one page overview to take away
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be a little quiz at the beginning and the end of the class
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The conversations about surgery are a bit gruesome as are anything about the war but I will not show any photos and become queasy myself about violence
The biography of Florence Nightingale and Lister are some of my sources but really I have visited the museums and sights that this talk is based on frequently and done the talk as a tour
