Each pre-recorded lesson will include a power point with visual aides. This FLEX course is designed for students to complete at their own time and pace. One recording will be posted every Monday morning. The recordings do not exceed 20 minutes( they range anywhere from 10-20 minutes). Students will learn how to blend cvc words with all short vowel sounds and to produce rhyming words. Students will understand the difference between words that rhyme and words that do not. It is essential that students have prior knowledge of all letters and sounds. 

Each lesson includes: 
- 2 or 3 word families ( vowel sounds/ blends) with pictures
- an opportunity to come up with rhyming words for each word family
- practicing rhyming and blending for each word family
- practice identifying the words on the screen that end with a certain vowel sound/ blend
- simple sentences that include words families from the lesson

Students will interact with the teacher through discussion questions via the classroom tab. Discussion questions will include:
- What word family/ blend did you learn today?
- What are some rhyming words you came up with?
- Which words in the simple sentences had the rhyming patterns we learned today?
- Do you have any questions?
