Are your children familiar with blending, but they need more practice? Let's give it to them and let them have fun at the same time. In this class, we will do a short blending review. Then, we will play two different games. The first game will focus on blending individual words. The second game will focus on blending cvc words in sentences to build fluency skills. I will focus on providing students practiced with short vowel (cvc) words during the games. I will provide some instruction to students that will help them strengthen their blending skills, but this is not a class to teach students how to blend. The games will be more fun and move more smoothly if students are able to blend on their own. This gaming class is appropriate for students that might need to practice blending faster or be working on blending the sounds accurately. If these are the skills your child needs to improve, then this is the class for you!
Learning Goals
Students will review blending basic c-v-c words.
Students will develop accuracy when reading.
Students will practice to improve their speed of reading.

Parental Guidance
Parents of new or young students may need to support their child with classroom expectations and turning the pen tool on.
