Class Experience
Students will draw a vertical landscape and add color with watercolors. Several watercolor techniques will be taught, such as: wet-on-wet and wax resist. This class is perfect for students who are new to watercolors or those who want to practice and define their skills! We'll learn how to use watercolors to add dimension to our artwork. This class is taught in English.
Students will learn about the element of space by drawing a foreground, middle ground, and background. Students will apply watercolors in a manner that allows them to blend effortlessly together.
- White Watercolor or Mixed Media Paper (size 9x12- we will cut it in half during class) -Scissors -Pencil -Eraser -Box of Crayons (8 pack is fine!) -Black Sharpie -Watercolor Paints -Water Cup -Paper Towels -Paint brush (medium or small in size)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students may use scissors if they'd like to cut their paper in half, or they can fold it across and then continue painting. This way their surface area is smaller than on a normal piece of computer-sized paper.
