*****This class is for those who have had PREVIOUS PIANO EXPERIENCE. The learner must be able to play the "C position" using Middle C, and be comfortable playing 2 notes on one hand at the same time in BOTH TREBLE AND BASS CLEF***** In this summer piano camp, learners with previous piano instruction (one year preferred), will learn to play 4 Disney piano songs from the Playtime Disney Piano book by Faber. The teacher will go over each song and give instruction on the song, rhythms, time signature, dynamics, etc. According to the abilities of each student in the class, we may not finish a song, but your learner will have the knowledge to complete after class. The teacher will be interactive with your learner and answer questions. ***Please read the dates of the class starting June 29. There will be one Saturday morning in there.** Day 1 : Part of Your World. (C position). from The Little Mermaid. Day 2: Beauty and the Beast (C position). from Beauty and the Beast Day 3: I Just Can't Wait to Be King (C position) from The Lion King Day 4: A Spoonful of Sugar (C position) from Mary Poppins Your learner should look over each song before class and write the difficult notes with pencil next to those notes. Also, writing the counts in, will help them, also. ***Make sure to order your book early, due to delayed shipping by some companies. ***

Students will learn how to play 4 songs and they will use their books to perfect the songs.

Each student MUST t have the book, PlayTime Piano Disney Level 1 by Nancy Faber, available on amazon and pianoadventures.com **** Due to shipping difficulties with some retailers, I highly suggest getting the Kindle or Apple version of the piano. ****** It is helpful for students to have a phone/tablet holder or stand so I can see their hands while playing the piano. ***Due to shipping delays by some music companies, please order early.***
