In this one-time class, kids will learn about Benjamin Banneker, a great scientist who invented the clock and designed Washington, DC. Learning will be reinforced with fun Nearpod games and coloring pages.

Description
Class Experience
Students will improve their reading comprehension skills and explore the contribution of an awesome black inventor.
I have written a book on black scientists for kids. This book has over 50 fun art, science experiments, and STEM DIY Projects.
No homework. Although, students can finish their hands-on activity outside of class if they want.
Students should come to class with paper, pencil, and crayons (markers or coloring pencils)
Students' reading comprehension skills will be assessed through fun Nearpod games online and a hands-on activity.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Teacher will provide a passage from the book, Our-Story Black History for Kids: Scientists
