Welcome to Camp Juneteenth where students will learn, create, and celebrate! In this 5-day interactive camp, students will learn about a significant day in American history through art, music, food, activities, and discussions.

Class experience

Students will discover and learn more about Juneteenth through art, cooking, listening, music, and reading.
Student will recognize:
Juneteenth
Historical dates
"The Emancipation Proclamation"
"The Black National Anthem"
Juneteenth celebrations and activities

I have taught several classes related to racism, segregation, prejudice, enslavement, and cooking on Outschool. I feel that Juneteenth is an often overlooked but significant holiday in American History. Traditionally Juneteenth has not been taught in the schools. This is an opportunity to have in-depth learning of a very significant holiday. I created a Juneteenth Activity Booklet that can be a keepsake.
