Class Experience

Today, money management is regarded as an important life skill, and children are encouraged to develop it. Because the world has changed dramatically in the last decade, children today must be more aware of how money works. Financial literacy is being financially literate. Simply put, it is to have proper knowledge about money, as well as to have the set of financial skills to understand and apply to make the right financial decisions, big or small. Financially literate people have a wide range of financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, saving, and investing. They develop self-sufficiency, which allows them to achieve financial stability. In this class we will explore all of these significant points so that your learner will be able to use these valuable skills in their own lives.

In this class we also will be exploring Black Wall Street, which was an African American business district in the Greenwood neighborhood of Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the early 20th century. People called the area Black Wall Street because of its economic prosperity. In 1921, however, a white mob destroyed the neighborhood during the Tulsa race massacre. Although African Americans rebuilt the community, it was no longer referred to as the Black Wall Street. Today some people use the term Black Wall Street to designate any economically successful African American business district.
