Just paint - a - long and by the end of class time, you will have created a masterpiece! I will demonstrate how the paint colors work together and layer these to create beautiful paintings with depth. Students will learn how to use and mix acrylic paints, while using different techniques to layer and blend on their canvas. They will learn how to create paintings with depth. I will instruct by demonstrating and painting each step to complete the featured painting.
Cameras will be asked to be on during class for attendance purposes. As you know, Outschool classes are specifically for children. Per Outschool's policy, each painter must be registered separately.
With an adult’s help / electrical hairdryer ( warm air ) will be needed to dry our blended background. We will paint and dry this together. Acrylic Paint Colors : White ( A generous amount) Yellow green bright blue purple dark pink orange Black 11x14 surface such as Canvas /canvas panel /canvas paper /watercolor paper/thick multi- media paper/wood *Please note, the structure/ timing of the class is geared toward SPECIFICALLY 11x14 or smaller . This manageable size allows for ample time to work on each step, and for all levels of painters to enjoy success. 3 SHORT HANDLED brushes : (flexible, synthetic bristles please) 3/4 “ or 1 " Flat wash brush Medium sized ROUND brush ( size 8 ) Small sized /Detail ROUND brush with a nice point. ( size 3 or 4) 2 Bowls of water EXTRA paper towels AND old cloth . Paint well to hold paints. Paper plate /cardboard for mixing Please position ALL supplies on same side as the hand you paint with . Computer /device should be faced directly ahead for head on viewing of the student/painting steps.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
