Description

Class Experience

I am a certified teacher, and have taught history for 7 years in a public school classroom. I teach students of all backgrounds and abilities.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
All subjects of Black history will be taught with awareness to cultural sensitivities and respect by a teacher trained and licensed to teach.
To ensure that the information is presented in a way that is understandable for the age group, I use sources that are written by children authors: Yona Zeldis McDonough, Barbara Kramer, Sarah Fabiny, and Megan Stine.
I also use the women themselves as sources, leaning heavily on their autobiographies and interviews. This class will present accurate information that is reported by multiple sources and most importantly primary sources and the words of the women themselves.
