Description
Class Experience
Campers will learn parts of language and literary terms will bring excitement to the subject of English and writing. Campers will learn alliteration, assonance, onomatopoeia, personification, similes, metaphors, homonyms, homographs, homophones, palindromes, fun with Mad Libs (nouns, adjectives, verbs), and words that originated in Latin and Greek. Fantastic activities to reinforces concepts include puzzles, sentence races, games, verb relays, contests, the human scramble, and more.
I served the Director of Ancillary Services tasked with planning and executing summer and winter camps at a PK-12 school. I hold a degree in Psychology and an MBA, a 150-hour master teacher certificate for teaching English as a second language courses and have served as a college counselor for almost 5 years advising students and families on the college acceptance process. I have taught middle school, have been an academic administrator in a Pre-K 12 school and was a founding director of a Learning Center.
