Class Experience

👋 Welcome Science Enthusiast's!

In this class, students will learn about science concepts ranging from seasons, extreme weather, mammals, reptiles, and everything in between! As we learn a new concept every week, students will engage in a hands-on experience too!

🧠 Everyone has a different learning style, and retains information at various rates! Some students learn by doing (hands-on method), visual (presentations), speech/verbal, and more. During our weekly meeting, the teacher will utilize various learning styles to ensure each student has full comprehension of what is being taught!

🧠 In this class, we will explore different topics surrounding the subject of Science. As we learn our science concepts, we will participate in a weekly activity that will further push our understanding of the topic. For example, during our severe weather week students will learn the different weather systems our world holds. To tie in our comprehension of severe weather, we may create our own Tornado In A Bottle. Remember, this class is meant for you to further your students understanding of science and to fall in LOVE with the subject all the more!

Welcome! My name is Jessica (Teacher Jessica). I have my Master's in Elementary Education (multiple subjects)! I have taught in the 6th grade classroom, and as of the last four years I have been teaching here on Outschool!

My teaching experience has given me the knowledge and tools necessary to ensure all students can thrive inside and outside of the classroom. Being an elementary school teacher, I enjoy and have fun teaching in all areas; as you may notice with my class listings I enjoy doing a little bit of everything!

I love to enhance learning development, and to watch each student grow individually. I look forward to meeting your child!

Aside from work life, I have a husband and three little ones! Outside of teaching, we love to be outside in nature, reading is life, and family time is everything!
