This 2 week Camp will teach your learner all about Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies - where they came from, what they do, and why people buy them. The will also learn about the significant risks involved with cryptos.

 Week 1
Lesson 1
What are Cryptocurrencies?
Defining cryptos, explaining how and why they were created, what they are used for, and how they are mined. I will also teach students about Blockchain technology and the concept of Decentralized finance.
Lesson 2
Bitcoin vs all the other cryptos (aka Altcoins)
What makes Bitcoin different from the other thousands of cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Solana, and meme coins. We'll also look into the darker side of secrecy based cryptos like Monera.
Lesson 3
Bubbles? Why would anyone want to buy Crypto?
We'll discuss famous investment bubbles like Pet Rock and the Dutch Tulip bubble. Is Bitcoin in a bubble? What are the dangers of such a volatile asset? What are crypto public and private keys, and how do they work?
Lesson 4
How to purchase or invest in Cryptocurrencies
Today will focus on the specifics of how to buy and store crytos, as well as less technical ways to invest in them via ETFs and mutual funds.
Lesson 5
Does Bitcoin have an actual use?
The future practical use case of Bitcoin will be discussed. We will look at the historical investment and use case for other rare assets like gold.

Lesson 6
What makes Bitcoin Price go up or down?
The news can have a powerful impact on crypto prices. We will review several examples of how news moved prices both up and down, and how an investor can react to that.
Lesson 7
Price Action and Technical Analysis, Part I
What is stock price Technical Analysis? Does it work on Cryptos, and what is involved in tracking it? Why is it important to a crypto trader?
Lesson 8
Governmental Bitcoin Adoption and Regulation
Several governments have embraced bitcoin. How has that worked out? Also, how does actual and proposed regulation impact cryptos?
Lesson 9
Price Action and Technical Analysis, Part II
In the second half of our examination of Technical Analysis, we will look at common trading patters and how and when to get in and out of investments.
Lesson 10
Final Wrap Up
We will review all we have learned in the past two weeks. We'll also analyze Proof of Stake vs Proof of Work in cryptos, possible future regulation, and the unlikely popularity of NFTs.
Students will gain a solid understanding of the basic concepts behind cryptocurrencies: why they were created, what they are used for (both now and in the future), and how to safely store them. They will learn about the volatility and risk involved and how to understand what drives the big swings in price. 
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
None required, but students are encouraged to read news sources about cryptocurrencies.
