Class Experience

Does your learner want to have a birthday party? In this private one time class we will have a birthday party and celebrate together whilst all making some beautiful art works! Choose from any of the one time classes available on my profile that your learner would like to do for their party. We could learn how to draw anything anime - from Luna the guardian cat to anime girls and boys. We could also make some fun artist inspired art works or make an animated flip book! You decide! We will go over tips and tricks, using step by step instructions and I will use slides and live drawings to demonstrate how to draw. Plus you will have fun while we do it, celebrating with all of your friends. My teaching style is very enthusiastic and I like to encourage my students by praising what they are doing well and giving constructive feedback if requested. The best way to learn is through doing and so my lesson will be very interactive and engaging. The students will need some plain paper, an eraser, sharpener and coloured pens or pencils, including the colour black. No required experience or knowledge is needed for this class. Just a joy and curious attitude about art and how to draw!

Hello! My name is Harriet Horner and I am from London in the UK. I teach creative classes, including interesting and dynamic art classes, along with art history classes. They including a lot of making and creating from the students side and most importantly they are very fun! 

I have a bachelors degree in Fine Art from University of the Arts London and have worked with the acclaimed artist Anish Kapoor for over 3 years. I also have my own art studio and have exhibited my art work around London and in the Venice Biennale! As well as my colourful art background I have also obtained a TEFL and have been teaching English online to foreign students from the ages of 5 - 12. I love it! But I cant wait to combine my love of art with my love of teaching and believe that my enthusiasm and knowledge in the subject will bring a great learning experience to my students. 

I believe the best way to learn is through doing so I always encourage my students to get involved, get stuck in and trust in the process! I love to interact with my students and get to know them in the lessons. I am an encouraging, enthusiastic and patient teacher who will give my students the tools they need to let their creativity flow and positive reinforcement to help boost their confidence in their own creative skillset.
