In this ongoing class, students will learn about a different type of bird each week (toucans, pelicans, swans, parrots, etc...) The class will begin with a discussion on the bird of the week's physical characteristics, diet, and habitat, as well as fun facts of the week. Next, the class will play a group game (trivia, true or false, circle on the screen, guess the word, etc...) related to the lesson. I am a certified elementary school teacher. I taught in a live classroom for 5 years and here on Outschool for 3 years.
The supply list will be posted once week in advance in the classroom, as well as right here. Supplies typically include: Paper, coloring materials, scissors, glue, etc... Week of May 19: Snowy Owls Supplies Needed: Black Paper Paint and a paintbrush (or you can use colored pencils or crayons)
Some crafts may require the use of scissors.
