Class experience
This class is a fun and easy introduction to oil pastel (or chalk pastel) blending and texture backgrounds. I will show my finished artwork at the start of class as a reference. We will discuss all the art supplies needed to create this beautiful bird. I'll give a step-by-step drawing lesson to sketch the bird while students create their work with me. Drawing and pastel painting techniques.
Watercolor paper or mixed media paper. Oil pastels (or chalk pastels) for children. (water soluble) Blending stubs, Q-tips or use your fingers to blend.
Use only child safe oil pastels (typically water soluble). Chalk pastels can be substitued.
