Beginner - Advanced Level
In this one time class, students will be learning to draw an Atlantic Puffin bird and use colored pencils techniques to color it. We will break down the subject into simple shapes and then refine our drawing. Colored pencil techniques will cover pencil pressure, blending, layering and texturizing as needed for the art project. Lessons will be in a "work with me format" with visual and audio step-by-step instructions. I will show my finished work at the start of class as an example along with the supplies needed to create it. Art freedom and fun will be emphasized in a relaxed setting. Students will be encouraged to add their creative personal touches to their work. I will offer a sharing event at the end of the class and/or I will encourage students to upload their finished work to the classroom after it dries to share with me and their art friends.

Drawing paper. Pencil & eraser. Set of olored pencils.
