Students will make sure all supplies that are needed are within their reach. Students will follow the step by step demonstration shown by the teacher and raise their hand to ask for help or a question. The teacher will check in with the students after each step to make sure no one gets left behind. Students will follow the teacher’s demonstration drawing the nest for their bird using blue, pink, yellow, brown, and black crayon. Next, they will draw a large rainbow shape for their bird's body. Students will follow the teacher’s demonstration to draw and cut out a beak and tail for their bird, gluing these parts in place as we cut them out. Then, we will add texture to our bird's body to represent feathers. We will then draw and cut out the bird's wing. Students will then glue the bird into the nest. Finally, we will draw and cut out three eggs and two leaves to add into our nest, gluing them on as we cut them out. At the end of our lesson we will be able to share our work with the class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a former K-12 Art Teacher who loves to teach drawing, painting, weaving, ceramics/pottery, and paper crafts.
I enjoy sharing my skills with children of various ages and watch their amazement at what they CAN accomplish.
Many students (and adults) feel they are not very good at art. I break down my lessons into small steps for anyone to create a masterpiece!
I love to read, sew, and create art with my 10 year old daughter!
