In this four week course we will explore the major land and water biomes of Earth. Students will learn how temperature, precipitation, and geography interact to create the unique conditions required for each biome and what kinds of organisms can be found in each one. We will investigate questions such as: What is difference between a habitat and a biome? How does rainfall influence a system? What role does fire play in grasslands? What animals live in the tundra? Classes are designed to...
Optional: A globe. If your learner owns a globe they may find it helpful to bring to class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
