Biology's Big Ideas -- Photosynthesis
Class experience
Utilizing discussion and lecture, demonstration, microscope study, worksheets and diagrams, and video clips, students will learn about the ingredients and results of photosynthesis, and its significance to the world. The main components of the light dependent and light independent reactions will be compared/contrasted.
Students will be able to state photosynthesis is words and in chemical equations. Students will be able to describe the main parts of the light dependent and light independent reactions. Students will be able to discuss the importance of photosynthesis to plants (and similar organisms) and to animals.
Teacher is Pennsylvania certified in biology.
All needed materials will be provided.
